At least it does in my photography. I just point the lens and let ‘er rip and hope for the best. In this shot I was just trying to get a nice picture of a spider and its web. It was only after I looked at the results that I realized the fog was so dense that it completely blocked out the white pines 10 feet away, yet permitted enough light for the drops of dew hanging from the web to glisten like a necklace of precious jewels.
